About Me
My art is inspired by my enormous love of nature. I grew up by the ocean and have lived near water ever since. Views of open bays and wetlands with resting herons feel like home to me. And with even the slightest change of season comes new ways to explore the contrast of values and colors through my art. Painting plein air or in my studio, I lean toward broad brushstrokes and vibrant colors to suggest landscape features and encourage viewers to create their own experience as they step inside a scene.
